BIDDING STATUS REPORT - The Bidding Status Report is a computer generated management tool that Carocon uses to display and maintain its conceptual budget. A conceptual budget is Carocon’s project manager’s judgment, on a line basis, of what the market price of the elements of work should be. The sum of these is the total project cost. The bid status report enables Carocon’s project managers to evaluate bid coverage by verifying whether the estimated, "correct cost," can be achieved in a given market. This report matches the initial budget with subcontractor or supplier quotes. From those bids, as well as the cost analysis and the computer estimate, a determination is made as to which subcontractor or supplier should actually be used.
Carocon’s approach to putting a frame construction project together is more than simply assembling the low bids, but rather that of organizing a team of subcontractors, vendors, turn-key applications and piece work trades with the objective being to construct a project in the most efficient and expedient manner. Carocon has had over 26 years of successful frame construction projects with teams structured in this manner.
